Business Controller – Middle East & Africa (MEA)

About the role

The MEA Finance Business Controller supports the financial performance, compliance and operational effectiveness of Ipsen’s Middle East and Africa organization. Reporting to the MEA Finance Director, the role provides analysis, planning, reporting and control activities that enable sound business decisions while ensuring adherence to corporate policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance partner to Commercial, Medical, Market Access and Support functions across the MEA region.
• Prepare, consolidate and align budgets, forecasts and long‑range plans with business priorities.
• Drive monthly performance reviews, analyse results, identify drivers, risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver management reporting and dashboards for regional and global decision‑making.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses and business cases for strategic initiatives.
• Monitor operating expenses, investments and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Define, monitor and communicate key financial and operational KPIs.
• Follow up on purchase orders, commitments, accruals and ensure accurate expense recognition.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant finance experience (as indicated in the posting).
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and budget holders.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with operational execution.
