Business Insight Analyst – Finance & People

About the role

As a Business Insight Analyst you will act as a trusted analytics partner to Cognita’s Finance and People teams, turning data into meaningful insights that drive performance and decision‑making. Reporting to the central data team, you will develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, analyse data from the Databricks platform and combine financial and workforce metrics to provide a holistic view of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards and reports for finance and HR stakeholders.
• Extract, transform and analyse data directly from Databricks to support business questions.
• Combine financial and workforce metrics to deliver a holistic performance view.
• Translate business queries into analytical solutions and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support enterprise reporting aligned with Cognita’s KPI framework and contribute to AI‑powered self‑service analytics tools.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in a business‑facing analyst, insight or BI role, preferably with finance or people data.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in SQL for data exploration, ad‑hoc queries and trend identification.
• Excellent analytical capabilities to interpret financial and workforce metrics.
• Experience working in Agile environments; degree in a relevant field and Power BI certification are a plus.
