Business Intelligence Senior Specialist (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

A data and analytics opportunity in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Senior Specialist. The role suits a BI professional who turns complex datasets into clear, reliable insights and builds reporting solutions that support both strategic and operational decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Own the development and continuous improvement of interactive dashboards, management reports and KPI views so stakeholders see performance and emerging trends clearly.
• Work closely with business teams to understand reporting challenges, define analytical requirements and turn them into practical BI solutions.
• Combine information from multiple data sources, building structured models and reporting logic for consistent and accurate analysis.
• Investigate data quality, timeliness and reporting issues, partnering with data engineering and technical teams to resolve gaps.
• Use Power BI, Azure-based data technologies, SQL and analytical techniques to explore data, identify patterns and produce actionable recommendations.
• Strengthen reporting standards, documentation and analytical practices, and improve users' understanding of data-driven decision-making.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, dashboard development or a closely related data discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems or a related field; exposure to data mining and big data analytics is an advantage.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn reporting needs into effective analytical solutions.

Required skills

• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure Data Platform and SQL databases, able to build and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports independently.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, KPI design, visualisation principles and working with multiple datasets.
• Analytical mindset, investigating complex data issues and applying statistical or data-driven approaches to problem-solving.
