Business Unit Director, Rest of Middle East & Africa

About the role

The Business Unit Director for the Rest of Middle East & Africa will lead commercial strategy and execution for Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery across distributor‑led markets, driving growth, market expansion and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales, market share, profitability and cash flow targets across the region.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Build and manage best‑in‑class distributor relationships, governance frameworks and performance scorecards.
• Identify and prioritize growth opportunities, develop market entry and expansion strategies, and partner with governments and key opinion leaders.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing regional commercial organization.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance and Customer Service to launch new products and resolve business challenges.
• Maintain compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies, healthcare regulations and local laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare or related field.
• Significant commercial leadership experience in medical devices, healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Proven success leading multi‑country businesses in emerging markets.
• Strong distributor management and channel leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver sustainable growth and market expansion.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
