Butler Service Desk Agent (Telephone Operator) – Arabic Speaker

About the role

The Butler Service Desk Agent (Telephone Operator) provides front‑line telephone support for guests at St. Regis Dubai. The role handles incoming calls, records requests, and ensures timely resolution while delivering a high level of hospitality service.

Key responsibilities

• Answer, record, log and process all guest calls, requests, questions or concerns.
• Operate the telephone switchboard, including wake‑up calls, call forwarding, conference calls and TDD relay calls.
• Relay messages accurately and activate/deactivate guest room message lights.
• Assist guests with internet access and transfer technical issues to the provider’s support line.
• Test communications equipment to confirm proper operation.
• Dispatch bell or valet staff as required and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain uniform appearance, confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
• Support guests with disabilities and adhere to quality‑assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Fluent Arabic speaker (mandatory).
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lb.
• Professional appearance and strong customer‑service attitude.

Required skills

• Telephone switchboard operation.
• Basic computer and POS system usage.
• Testing and troubleshooting communications equipment.
