Buyer – Procurement Specialist for Oil & Gas EPC Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage procurement activities for large‑scale oil & gas EPC projects. The role is based at our Abu Dhabi branch office and will support project teams by ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase inquiries, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, and provide economic evaluations to project teams.
• Issue purchase orders, manage amendments, and expedite order acceptance by vendors.
• Collaborate with project procurement coordinators to resolve commercial issues and mitigate budget overruns.
• Handle international purchasing, focusing on steel structure fabrication, piping bulk, and other EPC‑related items.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of purchasing experience in large oil & gas plant construction or EPC projects.
• Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier relationships.
