Capability Development Lead

About the role

The Capability Development Leader will drive the creation and delivery of Powertech’s next‑generation engine test capabilities. This includes overseeing the planning, design, construction, commissioning and hand‑over of a world‑class Engine Test Campus featuring high‑altitude and combustion test facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall programme leadership and technical direction for the Powertech Campus project.
• Manage planning, design, construction and commissioning of the Engine Test Campus.
• Deliver new specialist test facilities that extend the existing engine test capability.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure the facilities achieve full operational readiness and meet current and future engine development needs.
• Maintain safety, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in test engineering or test operations, preferably in aerospace or propulsion testing.
• Background in a structured engineering or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to work with diverse technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, data acquisition systems or control systems is advantageous.
