Capital Markets Originator

About the role

Societe Generale's Debt Capital Markets (DCM) department raises and manages capital for corporate borrowers, financial institutions, public sector entities, sovereigns and non-investment grade issuers. As a Capital Markets Originator in Dubai, you will help cover corporate, financial and sovereign clients in the CEEMEA region, focusing on the MENA area, and contribute to winning bond mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to covering clients' borrowing needs in debt capital markets, with a focus on Corporate, Financial and Sovereign clients in CEEMEA (MENA)
• Build a track record of winning bond mandates and support senior originators in meeting the team's NBI budget and league table targets
• Execute bond mandates responsibly, paying particular attention to risk and compliance requirements
• Support the development of advisory and product offerings in line with DCM's strategy and priorities
• Represent DCM internally to deliver best-in-class advice and maintain constructive relationships with syndicate partners, legal, compliance and other functions

Required profile

• University or school graduate (business or engineering) with a specialization in Corporate Finance
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets
• Fluency in English
• Understanding of bond markets, credit and rates derivatives, and the ability to produce clear, structured pitch materials
• Awareness of DCM, GLBA and SG Group risks, and commitment to the group's values and code of conduct
• Client orientation, teamwork, initiative, innovation, commitment to deadlines and communication skills
