Category Manager

About the role

The Category Manager position is a part‑time, remote role at DT FIN‑CON, focused on managing and optimizing specific service or event categories. You will analyse performance, identify improvement opportunities and support data‑driven procurement, partnership and sponsorship decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform category strategy.
• Coordinate with student teams and external stakeholders to align initiatives with club objectives.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners, sponsors and vendors.
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, pricing and category‑wide strategies.

Required profile

• Strong Category Management expertise, including planning, optimisation and lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret data and perform market research.
• Experience or keen interest in contract negotiation with partners and vendors.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor selection and cost management, preferably in an educational or club setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with diverse student and professional stakeholders.
