Category Manager – Terminal Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a Category Manager to join Maersk’s Terminal Procurement team for West and Central Asia. Key responsibilities

• Manage an annual spend of approximately USD 300 million, creating value while safeguarding Maersk’s cost‑competitive position.
• Define and execute category strategy aligned with global and regional objectives, supporting Must‑Win battles such as Environment & Sustainability, Resilience and Digitalization.
• Map and analyse spend data to identify cost drivers and opportunities in complex markets.
• Develop models to evaluate supplier offers and total cost of ownership.
• Lead negotiations with a comprehensive strategy and ensure contract compliance through contract‑management tools.
• Communicate complex insights effectively to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in financial and Excel modelling.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
• Proven procurement or sales experience, entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to travel.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and work in a cross‑cultural environment.
