Catering and Conference Sales Coordinator (UAE National)

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal is looking for a Catering and Conference Sales Coordinator (UAE national) to support its Sales & Marketing function. This is a full-time, non-management position based in Abu Dhabi, focused on administrative support for sales and on promoting the brand's image internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing, such as filing, sending emails, typing, faxing and copying.
• Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process, such as proposals, contracts and banquet event orders.
• Promote awareness of the brand image internally and externally, and gather materials to assemble information packages such as brochures and promotional materials.
• Use sales techniques that maximise revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.
• Enter, retrieve, reconcile and verify information such as commissions, leads and third parties in sales software.
• Answer guest questions about property facilities and services, such as hours of operation, rates, room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants and special events.
• Serve as the client point of contact, communicating by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs and thank them sincerely.
• Follow company policies and procedures, keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets.
• Develop positive working relationships, support the team and comply with quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to move and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
