Saikindō Bartender

About the role

Saikindō is a Japanese-inspired music and mixology bar at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, offering curated music, innovative cocktails and elevated service. The Saikindō Bartender provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, with a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar. This is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wines, spirits and mixed drinks according to recipes and Four Seasons standards.
• Know the beverage menu and all products offered, including wines, cocktails, beers, Armagnacs, cognacs and spirits.
• Perform opening and closing tasks, set up tables to required standards and keep the bar tidy during service.
• Keep the bar properly stocked and assist with bar inventory.
• Confirm guest orders, including special needs, using the hotel's point-of-sales system and check them against the original order.
• Anticipate guest needs, offer suggestions and respond promptly to concerns.
• Report incidents and atypical situations immediately to the Beverage Director and Head Bartender.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the Floor Manager, Beverage Director, Assistant Director of F&B and Hotel Manager.

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of previous experience as a bartender in a food and beverage outlet.
• College education or equivalent experience; experience in luxury hotels is an added advantage.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of division operations and Four Seasons standards, which is generally learned on the job.
• Proactive anticipation of guest needs and an energetic, professional approach.

Required skills

• Ability to pour, mix and blend a wide variety of wines, spirits and mixed drinks.
• Ability to operate computer equipment and food and beverage computer systems.
