About the role
The Chief Accountant supports and oversees daily accounting and financial operations for a hotel in Dubai Marina, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and compliance with reporting standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage account reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end closing, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate balance‑sheet reviews, monitor internal controls, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in budget preparation, cash‑flow reporting, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Provide guidance to the finance team and partner with department leaders for effective financial decision‑making.
Required profile
- 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (or 2‑year degree with 1 year relevant experience).
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of internal control procedures, audit processes, and statutory reporting requirements.
