Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for a diversified shipping, logistics, supply chain, freight, and warehousing business. Reporting to the Board, the CEO is accountable for sustainable growth, profitability, operational excellence, and organizational transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long‑term vision, growth strategy, and business plans for the company.
• Lead the organization to achieve sustainable profitability, competitive advantage, and market expansion across local, regional, and international markets.
• Identify emerging industry trends, new market opportunities, and potential risks, driving innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end logistics, shipping, warehousing, and supply‑chain operations, ensuring asset utilization, service quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Lead financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow optimization, and presentation of performance to the Board.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, government entities, and industry leaders.
• Evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic alliances to support growth objectives.

Required profile

• Proven senior executive experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
• Demonstrated ability to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence at a large, diversified organization.
• Strong strategic thinking, market insight, and capability to lead digital transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with boards, investors, and external partners.
• Track record of successful business development, mergers & acquisitions, and international expansion.
