Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Commodity Derivatives Trading

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will report directly to the Board of Directors and own the overall financial management of a fast‑growing commodity derivatives and energy trading business operating in the UAE and Singapore. The CFO will provide timely, commercial‑focused financial insight, safeguard liquidity and build a finance function that supports multi‑jurisdictional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the company’s financial strategy, supporting growth across UAE and Singapore.
• Produce accurate management accounts, statutory reports and lead budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Oversee treasury, cash, liquidity and funding to meet margin and operational requirements.
• Manage relationships with banks, clearing brokers and other financial counterparties.
• Design and maintain a strong control environment appropriate for a regulated trading business.
• Provide financial oversight of trading activity, including P&L, positions, margin and collateral.
• Lead the finance team, developing capability as the business scales.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior finance experience, preferably as CFO, Finance Director or Financial Controller.
• Background in financial markets, commodities, derivatives, brokerage or trading environments.
• Proven treasury and liquidity‑management expertise.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting and managing external auditors.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale a finance function.
