Civil Design Engineer – Substation (UAE Experience Required)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer specialized in HV/EHV substation projects to join our Dubai Regional Design Hub. The role supports AIS/GIS substation design across the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural design for HV/EHV AIS/GIS substations, including transformer and equipment foundations, control buildings, and cable trenches.
• Prepare and review substation layouts, grading, roadways, drainage, and underground civil works.
• Conduct RCC and structural steel calculations and produce detailed drawings.
• Review geotechnical data and coordinate with primary, secondary, electrical, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support tender preparation, detailed design, and EPC execution stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Extensive hands‑on civil design experience for HV/EHV substations (AIS and/or GIS).
• Proven experience in transformer/equipment foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, drainage, and road design.
• Background in EPC, engineering consultancy, power transmission or utility projects, preferably in the GCC/Middle East.
