Civil Draftsman

About the role

Careers International is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draftsman with experience in the construction industry in Dubai/UAE. The role covers preparing civil and structural drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings and coordination drawings for residential, commercial, high-rise and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft detailed civil and structural shop drawings, GA drawings, section details, elevations and layout drawings
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions and revise drawings according to consultant and client comments
• Coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, architects, structural engineers and MEP teams, and prepare coordinated drawings for construction
• Help resolve drawing discrepancies, maintain drawing registers and documentation control
• Interpret construction drawings and BOQ requirements, prepare reinforcement and concrete detailing drawings, and support site teams
• Ensure drawings meet project specifications, UAE standards and municipality requirements, and submit them on time for approval
• Keep drawing revisions and records up to date and prepare quantity-related drawings and detailed layouts

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or certification in Civil Drafting or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3-8 years of experience as Civil Draftsman
• Mandatory UAE/GCC construction industry experience
• Experience in high-rise buildings, villas, commercial buildings and infrastructure projects preferred

Required skills

• Strong AutoCAD expertise
• Shop drawings and structural detailing
• Revit (preferred) and Civil 3D (added advantage)
• Knowledge of UAE municipality standards
