Civil & Infrastructure Project Engineer

About the role

Blue Bahar Engineering is seeking a seasoned Civil & Infrastructure Project Engineer to lead the design of airfield and landside infrastructure in Dubai. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive stormwater, sewerage, raw water, irrigation, and underground utility solutions that meet international aviation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design stormwater networks, BMPs, raw water, sewerage, and irrigation systems for airfield projects.
• Coordinate underground utilities, perform clash detection, and prepare detailed design specifications.
• Develop engineering reports, presentations, and Bills of Quantities.
• Apply geotechnical and soil mechanics knowledge to infrastructure design.
• Lead design teams from data collection through construction phase, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, UFC, CAA, and IATA standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of civil engineering design experience, with extensive airfield design exposure.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio), AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Required skills

• Design of oil‑water separator plants.
• Sewerage network design (gravity, pressure, vacuum).
• Stormwater network sizing, watershed analysis, flow calculations, and pipe layout.
• Hydrology modeling (Rational Method, Hydrographs).
• Stormwater BMP solutions (infiltration trenches, basins, gravel wetlands, bioretention, grass swales, wet/dry ponds, porous pavements).
• Underground utilities coordination and clash detection.
• Geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics.
• Preparation of BOQs, engineering reports, and presentations.
• Software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil3D Stormwater module, StormCAD.
