Civil Inspector – NDRC Micro‑tunneling

About the role

The Civil Inspector will supervise and inspect stormwater drainage and micro‑tunneling works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and local authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of excavation, shoring, backfilling, micro‑tunneling drives, shaft construction, reinforcement, concrete pouring and waterproofing.
• Verify alignment, gradients and levels of pipelines, chambers and manholes against design criteria.
• Record daily manpower, equipment and material deliveries and prepare inspection reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, Resident Engineer and authorities to resolve issues and close out non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of construction supervision and inspection experience on NDRC, sewerage, drainage and micro‑tunneling projects.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, RTA and other UAE authority requirements.

Required skills

• Micro‑tunneling operations including pipe jacking and launching/reception shafts.
• Inspection procedures for sewerage pipelines, manholes, reinforced concrete structures and trenchless construction.
• Surveying and measurement verification for pipe routes and invert levels.
• Concrete curing, coating and lining techniques for stormwater structures.
