Civil Surveyor – Construction (Oil & Gas Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Surveyor to join our construction team on oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing precise surveying, setting‑out, and as‑built measurements for civil and structural works, supporting steel fabrication and erection activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct construction, topographic, layout and as‑built surveys for civil and structural elements.
• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks and reference coordinates.
• Verify dimensions, elevations, alignments and coordinates against approved drawings.
• Provide survey support for structural steel fabrication and erection, ensuring accurate alignment.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC and project management teams.
• Prepare survey reports, sketches, records and related documentation.
• Ensure all surveying activities comply with project specifications, client requirements and HSE standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Surveyor on oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and erection is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and survey‑related software.
• Hands‑on experience using Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level and other surveying instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural and structural drawings.
