Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in Internal Medicine

About the role

The College of Medicine at Ajman University is seeking a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in Internal Medicine to join its faculty for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will contribute to high‑quality undergraduate clinical education, supervise students in teaching hospitals, and support curriculum development and accreditation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver internal medicine clinical teaching aligned with university standards.
• Supervise, mentor and assess medical students during inpatient, outpatient and specialty rotations.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and ensure professional competence.
• Conduct clinical or educational research and disseminate findings in reputable venues.
• Support integration of internal medicine content with basic and clinical sciences.
• Participate in OSCEs, workplace‑based assessments, and accreditation quality‑assurance processes.
• Maintain supportive relationships with students and perform additional academic or clinical duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree (MBBS/MD) and a postgraduate or terminal degree in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification and eligibility for professional licensure in the UAE.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in clinical teaching and medical education.
• Familiarity with integrated curricula and student‑centered learning approaches (e.g., PBL, TBL) is desirable.
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written, and effective use of educational technologies and learning management systems.
