Commercial Director – GCC Pharmaceutical Business

About the role

The company is seeking a Commercial Director to lead its pharmaceutical business across the GCC from Dubai. This senior position will shape commercial strategy, drive growth, and manage full P&L responsibility while travelling regularly throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategy to expand market share across GCC countries.
• Own P&L performance, including revenue targets, budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams.
• Lead major commercial negotiations and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Analyse market performance and implement ROI‑maximising strategies for products and accounts.
• Strengthen brand positioning and commercial presence throughout the region.
• Coach, mentor and develop commercial and sales teams to achieve sustainable growth.
• Provide commercial insights and performance updates to executive leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 12 years of senior commercial leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Recent, strong experience in UAE/GCC markets with full P&L responsibility.
• Deep understanding of GCC market dynamics, procurement practices and regulatory environment.
• Proven track record of creating new revenue streams and delivering measurable results.
• Established GCC business network and strong stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic highly preferred.
