Commercial Manager (M2)

About the role

Macegroup is looking for a Commercial Manager (M2) to manage the commercial side of work packages, working alongside package managers and reporting to the project commercial lead. The role covers risk and opportunity reporting, cost control and the protection of project margins.

Key responsibilities

• Champion safety first, ensuring compliance with HSE standards while fostering wellbeing, inclusion and a positive safety culture.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, maintain quality systems and support senior leaders in reaching programme milestones.
• Oversee budgets, risks and ethical governance, contributing to long-term business sustainability.
• Lead collaborative project teams, driving performance, stakeholder engagement and best practice innovation.
• Manage subcontract packages from procurement and tendering through to final account.
• Lead commercial reporting, cost control, change management, and risk and opportunity processes.
• Protect and enhance project margins through mitigation, value engineering and cost reduction.
• Collaborate across disciplines, embedding carbon reduction and supporting net zero delivery.

Required profile

• Quantity surveying degree, CSCS and MRICS.
• Commercial reporting and cost control expertise.
• Strong client and stakeholder leadership.
• JCT contract knowledge.
