Commercial Manager – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial strategy and delivery for large‑scale Oil & Gas projects. You will ensure contractual compliance and drive financial performance across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function for major Oil & Gas projects, guaranteeing contractual compliance.
• Manage contract administration, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
• Oversee cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and other commercial staff.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, provide procurement input and close out final accounts.
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants and senior stakeholders on all commercial matters.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and advise senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 12–15 years of commercial experience in Oil & Gas/EPC construction projects.
• Proven track record with a Tier 1 contractor on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and/or NEC contract forms.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
