Commis 3 – Butchery

About the role

We are looking for a Commis 3 – Butchery to join our kitchen team at Westin Hotels & Resorts in Dubai Marina. The role involves supporting the preparation and cooking of a wide range of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring.
• Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes, presentation and quality standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Monitor food temperatures and conduct quality checks throughout preparation.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
• Handle cold food preparation and ensure proper portioning and storage.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions to the manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant food‑service or kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb for an entire shift.

Required skills

• Food preparation and butchery techniques.
• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Understanding of food safety and temperature control.
