About the role
Join the culinary team at Desert Islands Resort & Spa, part of the Anantara brand, as a Commis I. You will support food preparation and service, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and hygiene for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare mise‑en‑place for all food outlets according to Avani preparation and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas, following departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
- Ensure food safety by applying proper handling techniques, including dating, storage, rotation and sanitation practices.
- Assist with events, banquets and other functions as required, supporting the service team.
- Participate in departmental training to improve culinary skills and overall hotel service levels.
- Uphold personal hygiene, grooming standards and comply with fire safety and health & safety rules.
- Take responsibility for the care of hotel property and facilities.
