Commis III – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Commis III supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean work environment. This position ensures that all dishes are prepared to recipe standards and presented consistently for guests at the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, peel, and store fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Cook and test foods to ensure proper doneness and quality.
• Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated meals.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness, disinfect tools and equipment, and monitor appliance temperatures.
• Follow company safety, security, and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
