About the role
The Commis III supports kitchen operations at Sheraton The Walk Dubai by preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash and peel fruits and vegetables, and measure and mix components according to recipes.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing foods for proper cooking and monitoring quality.
- Prepare cold foods, set up and break down work stations, and serve food in correct portions.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment, and ensure appliance and food temperatures are correct.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Food preparation techniques such as chopping, portioning, and mixing.
