Communications Intern - Knowledge Project, Dubai

About the role

The Knowledge Project, a joint initiative of UNDP's Regional Bureau for Arab States and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, is looking for an in-person Communications Intern in Dubai. The intern supports the project's outreach and dissemination work, including bilingual content, social media, the Knowledge4All portal and newsletters.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to editorial and content calendars and help produce web content.
• Support the preparation and dissemination of the project newsletter.
• Develop, schedule and publish bilingual English and Arabic content on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube).
• Draft social media copy and create multimedia assets such as graphics, carousels, videos and reels, including live event coverage.
• Upload and update content on the Knowledge4All portal and mobile app via the CMS.
• Monitor online media coverage and social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and share user feedback.
• Support web and social media analytics and performance reporting.
• Maintain digital communications assets and archive project data, and assist with Arabic-English content translation.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and ability to adapt content for different audiences.
• Interest in the development field and the Arab States region.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools, including Canva and video editing software.
• Good research and information-gathering skills.
