Communications Manager (UAE National Only)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Communications Manager who is an UAE national to lead a diverse portfolio of communications initiatives. The role involves shaping external narratives, managing media relations, and supporting corporate, social, and community programmes across the airline’s regional and global footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated bilingual communications strategies that align with business priorities.
• Own media and public‑relations activities, including press releases, statements, and media briefings in Arabic and English.
• Coordinate media requests, arrange familiarisation trips, and produce press packs for events such as route launches.
• Research and map media landscapes to identify channels and partnership opportunities.
• Lead communications for corporate, CSR, ESG, and Emiratisation initiatives, ensuring alignment with national and emirate priorities.
• Build and manage executive spokesperson profiles, securing interviews and speaking opportunities.
• Brief, manage, and evaluate external PR agencies and suppliers.
• Monitor coverage, sentiment, and share of voice, delivering regular performance reports.
• Identify emerging reputational risks and prepare reactive statements in both languages.

Required profile

• UAE national with extensive experience in corporate communications, media relations, and public affairs.
• Proven ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of the aviation industry and regional market dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
