Compliance Governance & Risk Assessment Specialist (Emiratized)

About the role

The Specialist will support the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Group-wide compliance governance frameworks, methodologies and training material. The role coordinates governance activities, manages the compliance control document lifecycle and assists in enterprise compliance risk assessments to ensure consistency, transparency and oversight across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and periodically review Group compliance standards, methodologies, procedures and guidance documents.
• Administer the compliance control document lifecycle, including drafting, stakeholder consultation, approvals, publication, renewal and retirement.
• Maintain inventories of compliance policies, procedures, standards, local regulatory overlays and exceptions, ensuring proper justification and approval.
• Monitor adherence to document governance requirements and escalate overdue reviews or gaps.
• Support the planning and coordination of the annual enterprise compliance risk assessment cycle across head office and international locations.
• Track risk assessment submissions, perform quality checks and consolidate outputs for risk reports and management presentations.
• Coordinate with HR to track compliance training delivery and maintain attendance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, law, risk management or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in compliance, governance or risk assessment (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Professional compliance certification (e.g., ICA or CAMS) is desirable or willingness to obtain one.
• Basic understanding of the UAE regulatory framework, including CBUAE requirements, is a plus.
