Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)

About the role

PayerMax is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer who will also act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for its financial services entity operating within the Abu Dhabi Global Market. The role ensures the firm’s compliance programme aligns with ADGM FSRA regulations and supports the company’s growth across emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the local compliance programme in line with ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) requirements.
• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance, training and ongoing support to employees on compliance matters.
• Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits as part of the monitoring programme.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the FSRA.
• Collaborate with global compliance, legal and corporate governance teams.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management, the Board and the ADGM FSRA.
• Maintain required records and registers under FSRA rules.

Required profile

• At least 72 months (6 years) of relevant compliance experience, preferably within financial services.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and ADGM FSRA requirements.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
