Computer Science / ICT Teacher - Noya British School

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Computer Science teacher for Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2027. The school delivers a high-quality British curriculum with personalised learning in an inclusive, environmentally conscious community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering the curriculum, adapting to the whole ability range in the class
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and parents to support students' development
• Observe and assess students, record progress in Target Tracker and use data to inform planning and intervention
• Give feedback to parents and carers at conferences and other meetings
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when needed
• Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes in the curriculum
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's behaviour policy and act as a positive role model
• Work in a curriculum action group, take part in school events and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers through school systems such as CPOMS

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification
• At least 1-2 years of teaching experience in GCSE/A Levels
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance

Required skills

• Understanding of the curriculum and ability to plan sessions for mixed abilities
• Ability to motivate pupils and manage behaviour positively
• Use of assessment data and Target Tracker
