Construction Accountant (Arabic Speaker) - Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

A company in Ras Al Khaimah is looking for an experienced General Accountant to take full responsibility for its accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in the construction industry, covering villas, residential buildings, apartments and other developments, and manages the complete accounting cycle independently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle: general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and closing
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts
• Account for multiple construction projects: track costs, budgets, commitments and profitability; prepare project cost reports and monitor cash flow
• Record contractor and subcontractor transactions, verify invoices, payment certificates, retention, advances and deductions
• Manage supplier accounts, reconcile accounts and prepare payment schedules
• Manage bank accounts, prepare monthly bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting
• Prepare monthly payroll and WPS processing, maintain salary records and coordinate with HR
• Maintain VAT records, support VAT returns and coordinate with auditors and tax consultants
• Support management with budgeting, forecasting, cost control and identification of cost overruns and financial risks

Required profile

• Arabic speaker (mandatory)
• At least 3 years of UAE accounting experience, with strong UAE construction accounting experience (mandatory)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Ability to independently manage the full accounting function
