Construction Manager – Civil & Landside Utilities

About the role

The Construction Manager (Civil / Landside Utilities) will lead all civil and utility construction activities for Abu Dhabi Ports projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise civil infrastructure and landside utility works on Abu Dhabi Ports sites.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Control project budgets, track expenditures and drive cost‑effective solutions.
• Manage subcontractors and on‑site teams, fostering a high‑performance environment.
• Conduct quality inspections and enforce QA/QC procedures.
• Liaise with client representatives, design engineers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Oversee procurement, material handling and logistics to ensure timely resource availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred) and professional engineering licensure is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 + years of experience managing civil and landside utility projects, preferably in port or maritime environments.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi Ports regulations and local construction codes.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Experience using BIM tools for construction planning and coordination.
• Solid understanding of contract administration, procurement processes and risk management.
