Construction Manager - Offshore

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a strong mechanical background to lead all mechanical construction activities on the Das Island offshore project. The role is rotational, requiring on‑site presence for three‑week periods.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate mechanical construction works, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget and specifications.
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, allocating manpower, equipment and materials efficiently.
• Develop and execute construction execution plans, method statements and baseline schedules.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of static and rotating equipment, heavy piping networks, HVAC, plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with international codes (ASME, API, ASTM) and client standards, reviewing drawings, P&IDs and subcontractor plans.
• Champion HSE culture, enforce Permit‑to‑Work systems and conduct safety audits.
• Lead and mentor field supervisors, engineers and subcontractors, acting as primary liaison with client and inspectors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10‑15+ years of construction management experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role on offshore oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or Das Island projects is strongly preferred.
• Mandatory offshore certifications: BOSIET/HUET and a valid UAE driving licence.
• Preferred certifications: PMP, NEBOSH or IOSH.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of static/rotating equipment, piping systems and related international codes (ASME, API, ASTM).
• Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong competence in MS Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical installation, testing and commissioning lifecycles.
