Consultant Anesthesia

About the role

M42 Health, a provider of comprehensive healthcare services from primary care to advanced specialty treatments, is seeking an experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist in Abu Dhabi. The role calls for strong clinical expertise and sound judgement to deliver safe, evidence-based anaesthesia and perioperative care within granted clinical privileges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anaesthesia care, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management and post-operative care.
• Deliver safe general, regional and sedation-based anaesthesia within granted clinical privileges.
• Assess patients, identify perioperative risks and develop anaesthetic management plans.
• Manage complex and high-risk patients requiring advanced anaesthetic care.
• Provide airway management, haemodynamic monitoring and perioperative pain management.
• Respond to anaesthetic emergencies and perioperative complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nursing teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and support junior physicians and clinical team members as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and take part in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety activities.
• Keep practice aligned with UAE regulatory requirements and M42 policies.

Required profile

• MBBS, MBChB or equivalent recognised primary medical qualification.
• Tier 1 specialty qualification in Anesthesiology/Anaesthesia under the UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensure under the relevant UAE health authority.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant post-training experience.
• Experience managing complex clinical cases and working under pressure.
