Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist - Dubai

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our leading healthcare team in Dubai. The role involves providing specialised anaesthesia care for adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, interventional cardiology procedures and complex cardiovascular interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive anaesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic and major vascular surgeries, including CABG, valve, congenital, transplant and aortic procedures.
• Perform pre‑anaesthetic evaluations, risk assessments and optimisation of medical conditions.
• Administer general anaesthesia and support for interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, MitraClip and electrophysiology cases.
• Perform and interpret intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) to guide surgical decisions.
• Manage advanced invasive haemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, cardiac output monitoring).
• Provide peri‑operative critical care in collaboration with intensivists and cardiac surgeons, and respond to cardiac emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, maintain documentation per DHA regulations and participate in audits, research and teaching.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and recognised residency in Anaesthesiology.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
• Board certification in Anaesthesiology and DHA eligibility for consultant licensure in Dubai.
• 8–10 years post‑specialisation experience in cardiac anaesthesia, preferably in tertiary care hospitals with cardiothoracic programmes.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise in cardiac anaesthesia and peri‑operative cardiovascular management.
• Proficiency in intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
• Advanced haemodynamic monitoring techniques (arterial line, central venous catheter, pulmonary artery catheter, cardiac output monitoring).
• Strong clinical judgment, crisis management and multidisciplinary collaboration.
