Consultant Cardiac Surgeon – UAE, Leading Cardiac Care Team

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its adult cardiac surgery services. The organisation seeks a highly skilled Consultant Cardiac Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary team delivering coronary, valve and advanced peri‑operative cardiac care to a diverse, international patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients requiring adult cardiac surgical intervention.
• Perform coronary, valve, aortic and other cardiac procedures within granted privileges.
• Lead peri‑operative planning with cardiology, cardiac anaesthesia, perfusion, ICU and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in heart‑team meetings, risk assessment, consent and outcome review.
• Oversee postoperative recovery, manage complications and coordinate long‑term follow‑up care.
• Support quality, infection control, surgical registry, audit and patient‑safety programmes.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Thoracic Surgery, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACS, Arab Board, MCh/DNB/FCPS or equivalent).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
• Experience in adult cardiac surgery with a strong clinical track record.
