Consultant Critical Care Physician – High Salary ICU Role

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high‑acuity ICU services and seeks an experienced Consultant Critical Care Physician. The role offers a modern, quality‑driven environment with diverse international patients and strong clinical exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in the ICU.
• Provide advanced organ support including mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis care.
• Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and allied health teams.
• Communicate with families, support goals‑of‑care discussions and ethical decision‑making.
• Support ICU protocols, infection prevention, clinical audits, simulation training and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong clinical judgement with a commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and families.
• Internationally recognised qualifications (e.g., American Board in Critical Care, UK CCT/FFICM, European Diploma, Royal College Canada, Australian CICM, Arab Board, etc.).
• Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing.
