Specialist Consultant – Maternal & Fetal Medicine (Government Facility)

About the role

A leading government healthcare facility in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine to join its obstetrics and gynecology team. You will provide expert care for high‑risk pregnancies and support early diagnosis and treatment of fetal abnormalities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high‑risk pregnancies, including those complicated by maternal medical conditions, fetal anomalies, multiple gestations, and growth restriction.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, fetal anomaly screening, Doppler studies, and comprehensive fetal assessments.
• Develop individualized management plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care with obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic specialists, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate medical records, adhere to clinical guidelines, and participate in audits, teaching, research, and CME activities.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine; Western board certification preferred (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, US Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board).
• Significant post‑specialization experience in high‑risk obstetrics and fetal medicine.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
