Consultant Emergency Medicine – ER

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join a leading hospital group in the UAE. The role involves delivering high‑quality emergency care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety across a busy Emergency Department.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including medical, surgical, trauma, and pediatric cases.
• Lead the management of major trauma, cardiac emergencies, stroke, sepsis, respiratory emergencies and other life‑threatening conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures and interventions within your clinical privileges.
• Coordinate with specialists, intensivists, surgeons and other teams for appropriate patient disposition.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship to junior doctors, residents and nursing staff.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, procedures and outcomes accurately and promptly.
• Participate in resuscitation teams, quality‑improvement initiatives, audits and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Emergency Medicine (Arab Board, American Board, UK/Ireland Fellowship, European Board or equivalent).
• Consultant‑level experience in Emergency Medicine, preferably in a tertiary or internationally accredited hospital.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; ATLS and PALS highly desirable.
• Strong clinical judgment, advanced resuscitation skills and ability to work under pressure.
