Consultant Neonatologist - Advanced Perinatal & Newborn Medicine

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its neonatal intensive care services. The organization seeks an experienced Consultant Neonatologist to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑risk newborn and advanced perinatal care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level care for premature, critically ill and high‑risk newborns in the NICU.
• Manage complex conditions such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoxic‑ischemic encephalopathy and feeding difficulties.
• Perform and supervise neonatal procedures in line with facility capabilities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary management with pediatric surgery, cardiology, neurology, radiology and allied health teams.
• Support neonatal resuscitation, ventilation, nutritional management and safe transition to follow‑up care.
• Communicate diagnosis, treatment plans and prognosis clearly to families.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement, infection‑prevention and patient‑safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised specialist qualification in Neonatology (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCPCH, European Board, Royal College, Canadian, Australian, Arab Board, MD/DNB/DM/FCPS).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and credentialing.
• Experience in a high‑volume NICU with exposure to a diverse, international patient population.
