Consultant OBGYN – Leadership Role in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for a board‑certified Consultant OBGYN to lead the obstetrics and gynecology department of a prestigious Abu Dhabi hospital. The role combines direct patient care with strategic leadership, quality improvement and mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services, including high‑risk pregnancies and complex surgeries.
• Lead the OBGYN department, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design patient‑centered care pathways.
• Participate in hospital committees, quality‑improvement projects and policy development.
• Mentor and train residents, fellows and medical students.
• Ensure compliance with UAE health regulations and hospital protocols.
• Contribute to strategic planning and service expansion within the department.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Board certification (American Board, FRCOG, Arab Board or equivalent).
• At least 10 years post‑specialization experience, with 3‑5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Valid DOH licence or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
