Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon – Full‑time in Sharjah, UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its orthopedic outpatient, trauma and elective surgical services. The Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon will join a modern, quality‑driven clinical team delivering comprehensive orthopedic care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative diseases, fractures and a broad range of orthopedic conditions.
• Perform orthopedic procedures such as arthroscopy, arthroplasty, trauma fixation, and hand or foot surgeries.
• Evaluate surgical candidates, obtain informed consent and provide peri‑operative care.
• Collaborate with radiology, anaesthesia, physiotherapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation teams for coordinated patient care.
• Provide outpatient follow‑up, functional recovery planning and manage postoperative complications.
• Participate in surgical audits, operating theatre safety, infection prevention and clinical governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong clinical judgement with commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance.
• Interest in long‑term career development within a premium UAE healthcare setting.
• Internationally recognised orthopaedic specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACS, Arab Board, MS/DNB/FCPS).
