Consultant Pain Management (Al Ain, UAE)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant in Pain Management to join a leading healthcare provider in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pain using evidence‑based medical, interventional, and multidisciplinary approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate pharmacological, interventional and non‑pharmacological techniques.
• Perform image‑guided procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation and joint injections.
• Collaborate with orthopaedics, neurosurgery, neurology, oncology, rehabilitation medicine and physiotherapy teams.
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies and lifestyle modifications.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans and maintain accurate medical records in line with hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and CME activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians and allied health professionals where applicable.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Residency in Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology or related specialty.
• Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Pain Management.
• Board certification in the relevant specialty and Pain Management.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience as a Consultant in Pain Management.
