Consultant Pain Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant in Pain Management to join a leading healthcare provider in Al Ain, UAE. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain using evidence‑based medical, interventional and multidisciplinary approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using pharmacological, interventional and non‑pharmacological techniques.
• Perform image‑guided procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation and joint injections.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Oncology, Rehabilitation Medicine and Physiotherapy.
• Educate patients and families on pain management strategies and monitor progress to adjust treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in quality improvement, clinical audits and CME activities.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree with residency in Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology or related specialty.
• Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Pain Management and board certification in the relevant specialty.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience as a Consultant in Pain Management, preferably in a tertiary care hospital.
