Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) – Dubai

About the role

A leading private hospital in Dubai is looking for an experienced Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to head its state‑of‑the‑art PICU. The role involves overseeing the care of critically ill children, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert bedside care to high‑acuity pediatric patients.
• Perform advanced life‑saving procedures such as mechanical ventilation, ECMO and invasive monitoring.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans while tracking patient progress.
• Mentor junior physicians, nurses and allied health staff and contribute to education programmes.
• Lead quality‑improvement projects and uphold international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada or equivalent) and 3‑5 years post‑board consultant experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and family‑centred care philosophy.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure.
