Consultant Pediatric Neuro-Oncology (Western Qualified)

About the role

We are looking for a Western‑trained Consultant in Pediatric Neuro‑Oncology to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in the Gulf region. The role involves delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for children with central nervous system tumours in a high‑volume, subspecialty‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and long‑term management for paediatric neuro‑oncology patients.
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards with neurosurgery, radiation oncology, neuroradiology and pathology.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment protocols aligned with international standards (e.g., COG, SIOP).
• Manage chemotherapy regimens, targeted therapies and clinical‑trial participation.
• Collaborate closely with paediatric neurosurgeons and PICU teams for peri‑operative care.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring, academic activities and research publications.

Required profile

• Western board certification (American Board, Canadian RCPSC, UK CCT or equivalent).
• Subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Neuro‑Oncology.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience at consultant level in high‑complexity oncology centres.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Eligibility for regional licensing (SCFHS, DHA/DOH, DHP) is highly preferred.
