Consultant Physician – General Pediatrics

About the role

SSMC is seeking a compassionate Consultant Physician specialized in General Pediatrics to deliver primary care to patients with injuries and common illnesses in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take medical histories, and address concerns.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and disorders.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, explaining results to patients.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, preventive health, and lifestyle changes.
• Prescribe medications or therapies and design treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other physicians, refer to specialists, and work with nurses and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and ensure compliance with medical laws such as HIPAA.

Required profile

• Medical degree with completed residency and internship.
• State license and certification to practice medicine.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and compassionate.
• Commitment to staying current with medical advancements.
